The Ollie was designed shortly before my first son Oliver was born.  However I couldnt find the right name for it, nothing quite fit.  Of course being a knifemaker, and having a kid on the way, I had to make a knife specifically to cut his umbilical cord.  I made myself  a full sized Ollie and made sure the first thing it cut would be his umbilical cord.  Later in life I will give him that knife.

A while later a customer asked if I could make an Ollie that was under 3 inches in blade length so he could carry it legally where he lived.  It quickly became one of my new favorite models.  Which was funny since the full size has already been my favorite of the last 2 years.  Although I could be biased.

To me, this is a wonderful edc and manual opener.
